Our Mission & Vision

PAVE prepares Kindergarten to 8th Grade students to thrive in competitive high schools and four-year colleges. We provide our students with a rigorous academic program and a community built on the organization’s core values of Perseverance, Achievement, Vibrance and Excellent character (PAVE).

PAVE partners with historically underserved communities, impacting more than 800 students across two schools in New York and North Carolina. More than 82 percent of PAVE scholars are eligible for Free and Reduced Lunch Program (FRLP); 17 percent are special needs students; and 12 percent are English Language Learners (ELL). 96 percent of PAVE scholars are children of color.

We seek to ensure PAVE scholars in New York and North Carolina emerge from our classrooms on a path of expanded opportunities.

Our Network

Founded in 2014 PAVE Schools (PAVE) is a Charter Management Organization (CMO), operating a network of free K-8 public schools in New York and North Carolina.

Currently, PAVE supports the establishment and operation of:

  • PAVE Red Hook (PAVE RH), a Kindergarten – 8th Grade public charter school in Red Hook, Brooklyn; and
  • PAVE Southeast Raleigh (PAVE SE), a Kindergarten – 3rd Grade public charter school in Raleigh, NC.
  • Over the next 8 years, PAVE will grow to a network of 8 schools empowering more than 6,000 Kindergarten through 8th Grade students in New York and North Carolina.
